|
Become a crack shot without spending cash on expensive training ammo with the LaserLyte Laser Trainer Target. Designed for use with LaserLyte's popular line of laser trainers--including the original Laser Trainer, the Laser Trainer Pro, and the Laser Trainer Cartridge--the interactive Laser Trainer Target records precisely where a laser hits, helping save time, money, and ammunition. With the target, you can learn or teach such shooting skills as unsighted fire, accuracy, grouping, and trigger control. The target is also fully portable, so you can practice shooting skills almost anywhere, even from a favorite recliner. To use the Laser Trainer Target, simply aim at the target and dry fire the weapon with a LaserLyte laser trainer. The target will record the shot for later feedback, so you can concentrate on the next shot rather than the last shot--just like at the shooting range. When you're ready to see the impact, just dry fire the laser at the red "Display" circle on the unit's face. The target will show you the precise spot your shot would have hit with live ammo. To begin with a fresh target, aim the laser at the red "Reset" circle and dry fire again. The Laser Trainer Target runs on three AA batteries--good for about 6,000 shots--and can register shots up to 50 yards away. The target contains 62 laser-activated LED lights and operates without the use of a computer, TV, or projector. Specifications Compatible products: Laser Trainer Pro, LT-1, LT-9, LT-40, and LT-45 Batteries: 3 AA Battery life: 6,000 shots (LED activations) Range: Up to 50 yards Dimensions: 6.25 by 9.5 by 2 inches (W x H x D) Weight: 1 pound 4 ounces

Bushnell BowHunter Chuck Adams Edition 4x 20mm ARC Bow Mode Laser Rangefinder
Sale Price: $179.99
|
|
|
Designed in conjunction with the bowhunting legend himself, the Bushnell Chuck Adams Edition 4x20mm archery-specific laser rangefinder excels regardless of the terrain. The rangefinder is outfitted with Bushnell's Angle Range Compensation (ARC) technology, which provides accurate readings from tree stands and steep hills. Simply hit the Fire button and it will calculate the "shoots-like" distance based on the angle of your shot. The rangefinder's Angle Range Compensation (ARC) adjusts the distance based on your standing position. No more having to adjust your true horizontal distance by eye when you're standing at an extreme uphill or downhill angle. The Chuck Adams Edition rangefinder also accommodates bowhunters with its Bow Mode, which simultaneously displays line-of-sight, angle, and true horizontal distances from 5 to 99 yards. And rifle hunters aren't left out, as the rangefinder also provides line-of-sight distances from 5 to 850 yards. Other features include a built-in digital inclinometer that measures angles from -90 to 90 degrees with +/- 1-degree accuracy; a pocket-sized build; 4x magnification; a rainproof housing; a built-in battery indicator; and a posi-thread battery door. The rangefinder comes with a carrying case, battery, and neck strap. How Bushnell's Laser Rangefinders Work Bushnell's laser rangefinders use an invisible, eye-safe Class 1 laser beam (as classified by the FDA), which is "bounced" off distant objects at the press of a button. In the process, the rangefinder uses a high-speed digital clock to measure the time it took for the laser beam to reach the target and return, and then calculates the distance within plus-or-minus 1 yard. The entire process is so fast that less than a second elapses between the time you press the button and the time the exact range appears. The information appears on the unit's through-the-lens LCD display. Because rangefinders bounce laser beams off targets in order to take measurements, their range is partially determined by the target's reflectivity. So distances to reflective or "hard" targets like rock cliffs and semis can be measured from farther away than those to soft-surface targets such as deer. Ranges for moderately reflective targets, like trees, fall somewhere in the middle. Most experienced hunters will use their rangefinder to estimate ranges to near and distant landmarks before they actually encounter a game animal. By pre-measuring ranges to spots where trophies are likely to appear, they can concentrate on making an accurate shot when the moment of truth arrives. Archery: draw (stance) question?
How do I hold the bow straight at Full Draw? Whenever I hold the the string (with my right hand) the right side of my body tilts with it.
I was looking at some archery vids and at 1.46 in the one below they show a frontal shot of a woman holding it so straight you can't see her elbow. If that was me my shoulder and elbow would be sticking out.

If YOU are comfortable with your archery technique, and you achieve the desired results - i.e., putting the arrow where you want it to go - why worry about what others say you "must" do to "improve"? If you are consistent in everything you do, and you are accurate, that's what really matters - unless you are doing something such as Kyudo archery, in which case following the ritualistic forms means a lot.
Check out this video of Byron Ferguson. I bet he does it differently than the woman in the video you linked to - yet he gets the same desired results.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLxS8W7lWMU&mode=related&search=
By the way, in Olympic style archery and when using compound bows, it is relatively very easy to make the "impossible shots" - especially when you can hold that string at full draw for over three minutes.
