The Point
Sale Price: $7.14

Delightful animated fable about a land where all things and people have points, except for young Oblio. Because of his "pointlessness," he and his dog, Arrow, are banished to the Pointless Forest, but once there Oblio learns that things need not be pointed to have a "point." Narrated by Ringo Starr; music by Harry Nilsson. Songs include "Me and My Arrow." 74 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital 5.1.
Harry Nilsson wrote the entirely hummable songs (including the hit, "Me and My Arrow") for this charming, 1971 animation feature about a boy with a round head who is banished from the land of pointy-headed people. An allegory about nonconformism presented in a delightful way, this is a treat for everybody. Ringo Starr, the late Nilsson's old pal, narrates. --Tom Keogh

The Point! (Deluxe Packaging)
Sale Price: $5.71

Nilsson composed and performed the score to this legendary made-for-TV animated fantasy. This resissue contains four previously unreleased bonus tracks, including the unedited version of \Down to the Valley"
Must everything have a point? That's the question posed by Harry Nilsson's 1971 pop parable of a well-rounded young boy named Oblio, from the Land of Point, who's cast apart from the community by those who resent his pointlessness. Conceived when the gifted singer-songwriter was on an acid trip, The Point! is a product of its time, what with its central theme (the hollowness of conformity) and ornate Beatles-era pop. But the message--presented in song and narration--and music are delivered with a grace and gentleness that elevates The Point far above most socially conscious '60s art. Produced as a made-for-TV movie in 1971, this audio version of the modest masterpiece will appeal to adult fans of the late singer. More to the point, however, it'll capture the fancy of thoughtful youngsters who'll empathize with the little boy who finds points where he's told there are none, and concludes, "If everything has a point, well then I must have one, too." --Steven Stolder

How You Live
Sale Price: $1.81

How You Live is the talented contemporary Christian act's first "real" album in three years. (Greatest-hits packages and Christmas albums may be neat, but they don't pack the full wallop of Point of Graces's vision the same way). A new offering from the devout quartet is always a treat, and this is no exception. Less upbeat than its predecessor, the record has many charms. It has all the hallmarks of PoG: a huge-sounding, slicked-up manner of production buffeting gorgeous harmonies and solo vocals loud and clear in the mix, making it impossible to miss the group's message. That message is one of hope and faith, of course. And though it's delivered in a simplistic and clear-cut manner that might strike some as hackneyed or clichéd, the group has the power of its convictions, and a fantastic talent for overarching pop. After listening to some of these songs--"He Believes in You" and "All the World" in particular--it's hard not to feel like you just got run over by a stream-roller made up of marshmallows. --Mike McGonigal

More Info On Arrow Points:

Arrow Signs and Readability
Now a-days cities are complex and you have to go through maze of roads to reach your destination. While many of the businesses and establishments have their addresses in such mazes, getting proper directions is essential. If proper directions are not present, the potential customer may lose his way and could even land up at your competitor's doorsteps. This is where arrow signs become very important.
The arrow signs help people to find their way through the city roads, giving direction to the people. Thus, proper arrow signs that clearly give directions are becoming increasingly indispensable. Whether you have to find directions to any interesting tourist spot, a well known or a little known place in the city or even to find a sale or directions to the parking lot for parking your vehicle, arrow signs have globally transcended all boundaries of cultures and languages. They are the mutely immutable signs for directions. But then what are the various points to look out for when using an arrow sign?
There are various factors that need to be taken into consideration when making an arrow sign. Always remember that though there are various reasons as to why you would like to give directions, there is only one way to give directions and that is by putting arrow sign.
The first point to remember is that you should be clear as to where all you need to place your sign. Usually the arrow signs are placed at prominent intersections so as to give precise directions. If you are placing them near your place or establishments, you can place it in way that directs them to you. Some stores may not be on the main road and you need to get better footfalls so it is a good idea to get some arrow signs and place them such that the clients or customers can easily find their way to your business establishment without losing their way.
You should use the most significant reason for doing so. You cannot clutter your arrow sign with many things. The direction sign itself may get lost in all the clutter. The arrow sign can be made from any material. Always choose the material according to whether you intend to use it indoors or outdoors or for multipurpose utility. The outdoor arrow sign material should be weather proof and should be light and sturdy.
One of the most important factor to keep in mind is that many a times the arrow signs are color coded and hence when making an arrow signboard you should be aware of the various color codes that are prevalent in your area. A wrong color code can give wrong direction and impression. Also remember that the color combination of the signs should be of contrasting nature. Only then would the sign become prominent and have a good readability. Also, if possible, then you can even place small squares in the directional arrows to make them more prominent. Thus with the importance that the arrow signs have, using them judiciously and prominently can have a great impact on your sales and promotions.

Is this ipod broken? I plug it in, and all it shows is an arrow pointing to an itunes icon?
I just plugged it into the computer for the first time, but it shows no indication of charging. It just hows the battery in the top right corner as low and there's a picture of a usb cord on the bottom, and and arrow going from that to the itunes icon. It's an ipod touch, is this normal? how do i know it's charging?
When I bought my ipod touch, it did the same thing. It just showed an arrow pointing to the itunes icon. I just connected my ipod to my laptop and I downloaded and installed the latest version of Itunes. Then you go on from there but if you want to charge it, my mom had to buy me a charger that wasn`t included with the ipod. Then you just plug it in the ipod and it charges
Hope I helped a little!
Physicists look for the arrow of time, biologists find it
One of the nice things about being in the science writing business for a while is that, even when the science of a given topic doesn't make a whole lot of sense, it at least starts to look familiar. One of these topics is the arrow of time, which Sean Carroll ( Caltech physicist , not Sean Carroll, Madison biologist ) discussed at AAAS. Briefly, time's a bit of an annoyance to physics. For ...
