A Man Called BearCrazy
|
|
|
Three decades ago a young man from Wisconsin named Bill Wiesner took to the woods in pursuit of the black bear. As times passed his love of this animal turned into an obsession. Over 50 black bears later, BearCrazy has developed a keen knowledge of his favorite game animal having taken them with every method known. Also includes a special clip of Fred Bear taking a new word record book grizzly back in the 1960's. 17 bears in all are harvested on this VHS by BearCrazy, his wife Sandy, sons Brian and Brad and numerous friends. The subjects of bear's eyes and nose are discussed along with talking about good camo, movement, scent control and playing the wind as well as judging a bear size and proper shot placement.

Savon de Marseille (Marseille Soap) with Pure Crushed Local Flowers: Gift Set
Sale Price: $50.50
|
|
|
Absolute bliss. Pure, moisturizing Savon de Marseille soaps with the regional flowers of lavender, orange, rose and verbena. In the Middle Ages, big blocks of gentle soap were first crafted in the Mediterranean port city of Marseille with olive oil from local groves, marine ash and sea salted water. The quality of these soaps were immediately famous throughout Europe and in 1688 French law declared that only soaps made according to certain ancient methods could bear the important mark Savon de Marseille. Now the most prized of all soaps in the world, our Savon de Marseille is still crafted by hand, in Marseille, just as it has been for hundreds of years. It takes the Maitre de Savon (soapmaster) two weeks to make Marseille Soap. The purest ingredients (mentioned above) are heated for ten days in antique cauldrons. Know-how passed down through the generations will reveal to the soapmaster the right moment to pour the mixture into open pits where it slowly hardens. Cut into cubes and stamped, without machines of any kind, the soaps are then set out to dry in the sun and cool winds. Savon de Marseille (also known as "Marseille Soap") is once again being rediscovered for its extraordinary purity, gentle skin care and ecological value. Savon de Marseille is recommended by dermatologists throughout the world for dry or sensitive skin, eczema and other ailments. In France it has been trusted for generations to cleanse everything from linens to little faces. Marseille Soap is totally biodegradable, requires little packaging and its manufacture is environmentally friendly. Authentic Marseille Soap is stamped with its weight in grams - allowing households to compare prices and plan their inventories. No soap is "greener."
This set includes 1 bar of each of the heavenly scented soaps (Lavender, Verbena, Orange Flower and Rose), gift wrapped in a clear bag and tied with a coordinating raffia bow. © French Soaps LTD

More Info On Bear Bows:

A Day In The Life Of A Racing Bear
The alarm has just gone off, it's five a.m. It didn't wake me up though, as I have been awake for most of the night, I have been just too excited to sleep, just thinking about the day ahead of me as it is the first day of our race. I don't usually like getting up too early in the morning, it makes me feel a bit of a 'grizzly' bear but, of course today is different, when I am racing I don't mind one bit.
Yesterday, when my keepers and I brought the car here ready for the race, I accidentally got in the way of an oil spill and a drop went on to my left leg. I've been a little concerned about it during the night, as I am such a good looking bear I don't want my fur coat ruined, besides what will the girls say? Looking at my leg this morning though it's not as bad as I had thought and anyway I can tell all the girls that it's a racing injury, surely they will be more than impressed by that.
I can now hear the shower which means that my keepers are up and getting themselves ready to leave, they don't take long to throw on some old clothes and get ready as they don't take as much trouble with their looks as I do, well after all they are not as famous as me are they?
Just stopping for some breakfast, as a bear just cannot sustain a race on an empty stomach, a piece of toast with a healthy helping of good quality honey and a good strong cup of coffee certainly does the trick. As I wait for my keepers to catch up I look out of the window where the sun is streaming in. Today is going to be a good day for a race across the wonderful Tuscany countryside in Italy.
My racing jacket has sustained some slight damage, yesterday two of my female fans launched themselves at me and tried to give me a cuddle, they quite scared me, however, you can fully understand how they feel when they set eyes on a handsome Steiff Teddy Bear like me. My keepers said not to worry, that they would be able to repair it when we get back home. So my favourite Italian racing jacket is on, and I am wearing my new Ferrari badge on it, the one that my keepers bought for me yesterday, my fur has been brushed, I've eaten my breakfast, all that remains for me now is to find my racing hat and I am well and truly ready to go.
I am standing by the car with my keepers, we are waiting for the official photographer to come and take our photographs. Just waqit til he sees me!!
We have now covered about 100 kilometres already and so far the weather has been very kind to us, which is just as well as we have taken the roof off. My left ear is burning, I think I must be suffering from a little bit of sunburn, the thing is I had to take off my racing hat as it nearly blew off twice. My keepers are moaning at me because they say I should have tied some elastic to it before we left.
We stop for food, drinks (and of course, the bathroom). For me it's time for a bit of posing. All the other drivers want to tickle me, which I find quite disturbing really, many take my photograph which is fine and others want to give to a cuddle - for goodness sake! We get back into the car and finally, my keepers seem to be putting their foot down, I've told them this is suppose to be a race! We drive through the wonderful Italian countryside and a few of it's great cities when it suddenly startes to rain (pouring)... We all go into panic mode. We try to get the roof up quickly but my head is already soaking wet and it's running down my neck and into my bow tie but when all is said and done we must remember that we are racing drivers, so a little rain won't hurt us. We carry on...............................
Over every inch of the way people who love fast cars and racing have come out to see us, wave us on and take photographs of us (mostly of me I think). To me this is just teddy bear heaven, there are Ferraris in front of us and Ferraris behind us. What more could a racing bear wish for but to be surrounded by Ferrari Cars.
It is getting late, we are all a little tired and so we pull into our hotel for the night where we have a wonderful italian dinner - loads of pasta - and we all chat about our day. I am nearly dry now, my keepers gave me a rub down with a towel as soon as we arrived (I just wish they wouldn't fuss so much sometimes!)
Tomorrow is another day and I cannot wait until the alarm goes off again tomorrow morning.
