I bought some coyote jawbones and i am looking for the best way to secure my obsidian blades to them any ideas? I'm 1/16 Cherokee so I need a good traditional knife.

Mastic resin works well to attach strange and non-porous materials, but is unsightly at times. Epoxy glue has a very strong hold, and would work great for a display knife. The only problem with a resin-based synthetic glue like epoxy is that it dries VERY hard, and so it is vulnerable to shattering and losing its bond with one side of your knife.

I would suggest that you get a small hobby grinder (Dremel is the brand I remember using) and pick the thickest jawbone out. Attempt to grind a pocket or slot into the fat (back) end of the bone in order to snug your blade in at least half an inch. That way, you can apply your glue more liberally and give it more surface area to bond together. If you are able, shape the bottom of your obsidian to fit the slot in your jawbone like a mortise-and-tennon joint in woodworking.
