Hunting Apparel - Scentblocker

Hunting apparel has come a long ways since the days when I was young and could barely stay comfortable on the stand. New high tech fabrics along with warm, lightweight insulation has made the hunting apparel available today extremely comfortable and warm. Many companies also incorporate antimicrobial and carbon to make the garments as scent free as possible. Scentblocker, a line of hunting apparel manufactured by Robinson Outdoors, is one of the most popular manufacturers of scent elimination clothing. Here are a few new products they have introduced for 2009.

Scentblocker has teamed up with Michael Waddell and his very popular hunting show titled Bone Collector and developed a line clothing that carries the same name.  The Bone Collector line of clothing has a fleece outer garment called the Brotherhood, which is their cold weather, scent elimination garment. This is a very quiet outfit which is very important when bow hunting, and has many features that make it extremely functional.

In addition to the Brotherhood outfit, Scentblocker also has the Freak Nasty suit, which is a lightweight outfit to be worn in warmer weather.  The Freak Nasty also incorporates the carbon scent elimination technology found in the Brotherhood suit. The outerfabric is very breathable which makes it a great early season outfit.  The Freak Nasty is also a very comfortable, quiet suit that will certainly help you get closer to wary whitetails.

Combine either of these outfits with Scentblockers line of boots and you have a very deadly line of apparel. A few of the boots that are available are the Brotherhood insulated or non insulated 16” knee boot that is very lightweight and comfortable. This boot has much of the same technology found in Scentblockers  line of clothing which makes them very scent proof.
