This has been bugging me for a long time now.
How do Hunters sight in/practice with thier bows?
For a target shooter it is easy because we don't have to use broad heads to shoot with.
Do you hunters have a special target you shoot with?
Or do you just practice with target tips and then adjust the bow to onset the additional weight of the broadhead?

It is very rare to find a broadhead that flys like a field tip. I shoot in leagues with my bow and shotgun. What I find to use with my bow that works very well is take balloons and blow them up the size of a heart (your fist is fine) and shoot that at different distances. What I do is take a tire without the rim and place a smaller bag target in the tire in such a way that it wont fall out. Then have a friend roll the tire across the yard and you shoot it while its rolling. This will build your hand eye coordination and will improve your "lead" skills drastically. I will do all of that with Field Tips. When it comes time to hunt, I will shot my broadheads into my delta deer target to make sure they are flying correctly and if not, i would be able to adjust my sights accordingly. The only thing you can do is practice. There are a few broadheads that fly awesome. Magnus Stinger two blade, NAP Thunder head 100's, Grim Reapers, Montec, Crimson Tallon Hyper speed. Those are the best broadheads I have found that fly great. Those broadheads are the ones that I have never had to adjust my sights for 20 yards.
For guns I have a simple daisy Red Ryder bb gun and with that I will throw, kick, hip-shoot, anything to improve your response skills. My favorites target to use are big foam fishing bobbers because they are just a little smaller than a clay target used for skeet and trap. Also the bb cannot ricochet someplace, it will penetrate the the bobber.
