Sidekick Slide USB cable problem..?

When i used to plug the USB cable into my sidekick slide and my computer the USB sign used to always pop up and everything used to be fine. But, now all of a sudden it doesnt work anymore? The USB sign wont pop up and all it does it charge my phone. And yes, i DO have a memory card. Help?
