Online Backups for your most valued Photo's, e-mails and Doc's !
Money, Time, Knowledge....
These may be three aspects which contribute to the reason why so many people do not take backups of their data, e-mails or photo's, to mention but a few.
Two of the most popular Operating Systems software, supplied by Microsoft and Apple, both have installed, ready to use Applications that will help the user to quickly backup their data, commonly to CD. For those Users who don't mind spending a little extra the options are much greater. Using supplied software, the purchase of an Internal HD (Hard Drive), an External HD expands your world into Backup Bliss. Well almost !!
Why backup? How important is your data? Have you been collecting 'stuff' for the past hundred years and have you been a PC hoarder? It is my guess that most people, even those who profess to be PC Illiterate have consistently saved documents, e-mails and the family favourite digital photo's for many months if not years. School work or Home-work and the advent of the Internet have forced one to create, then save and possibly print the contents. Online shopping, Online banking. Bank statements sent via e-mail.... starting to see my point.
But this information is NOT important. My car is and that's why I've insured it. My Home Contents are and that is why it is insured. My family photographs are not, so no need to safe gaurd those at all!
It seems we have to lose something before we assign it a value. Break an arm and we quickly realise how important our arm is when playing football, driving a car, taking a shower and so on..
Why wait to lose your data before you realise that a backup will not take very long to do. Call a friend who has some knowledge and he/she will give you a hand. But start the process of backing up your valuable data today.
If it's lost today and it will not have in effect on your life at all, you have no need to read any further, but if you consider that your PC contents are as important as your Home Contents are or even your car, then act today.

I joined the Gaurd how will basic be?
So I joined the Air Guard and leave for basic and schooling in 3 months does anyone know what I should expect or how I should prep myself for when I get there? I'm def. looking forward to it so please no neg feed back just honest!!!
I went to Basic Training in 99....I was in the Army National Guard. At Ft. Jackson, S.C. I trained with regular army, reserves and guard. It was tough, but I would do it all over again in a heart beat. The Drill Sgts. will try to break you the moment you step off the bus. Stay strong and just remember they want you to succeed they just have to make you understand how important it is to follow direction and listen. One of the hardest things while I was there was dealing with the other women in my platoon. Things get catty and sometimes downright highschoolish when you are in close quarters with a bunch of girls for that long under stress.
One morning they woke us up crashing garbage cans together, then trough the garbage all over our bay and told us to clean it up...and if we had time we could shower. Ha! No time to shower...but as the weeks go on, it gets easier.
Wake up at 4:30-5....PT...then breakfast (no talking)...class time(learning rank and such)...Then fun stuff, like weapons training and obstacle courses.
The thing that got me through basic was all of the letters from my friends and family. They can send you pictures, but you can't bring any with you, so have them send some.
Also, good to bring is white undies and bra's ...they wouldn't let us keep our colored ones...if we didn't have any white ones' they made us go to the store on base and buy them.
Honestly it's hard at the beginging, but make friends within your platoon and hang on...it's a wild ride.
I wish you the best of Luck! You'll do fine! And Always salute brass or you'll be doing push-ups forever.
