This Leonard Kastle film is based on the real-life story of Raymond Fernandez and Martha Beck who met back in the 40s through "Lonely Hearts" ads. Then they became a part of American crime annals by going on a murder spree by trapping lonely but wealthy widows into Ray's "love net."
Raymond proposed the lonely widows that he met through the newspaper singles ads and eventually married them and moved in with Martha who posed as Ray's "sister." After doing all they could to steal the unsuspecting widow's money and jewelry, they poisoned, hammered and shot at least three widows, including the young daughter of at least one of their victims as well.
They were as in love and tender towards one another as they were merciless towards their victims. Both in real life and in this movie, they were caught, tried in a long trial, and then sent to the electric chair in Sing Sing.
This film catches the stark horror of their deeds in great realism, aided by splendid black-and-white camera work that at times comes across almost as documentary.
Tony Lo Bianco is marvelous as Raymond Fernandez and with his foreign accent. Nobody, on the other hand, could have played the obese and obsessed Martha better than Shirley Stoler. (Compare: the sadistic female concentration camp guard in Lina Wertmuller's "Seven Beauties.")
But the actors playing the unfortunate widows are just as good as the lead actors. My hat off especially to Kip McArdle who played "Delphine Downing."
Perfect casting, a scary story, plus the "amateurish" candor of a first-time director created a movie masterpiece indeed. No wonder Francois Truffaut has described "The Honeymoon Killers" as "my favorite American film of all time."

Must See Sights For Those Staying In Seminyak Hotels
Whilst there are some who say any portion of Bali is a paradise, many holidaymakers choose to spend their time on the archipelago’s southwest coast. When they select Seminyak as their vacation home base, the wonders of this tropical paradise will most certainly come to life.
Although considered by many to be a suburb of the larger Kuta, Seminyak does offer holidaymakers a number of attractions worth seeing. In addition, the proximity of the larger city is close enough that its sights are also wide open for visitors who stay in Seminyak.
Those who choose to say in Seminyak hotels will find these are some of the area’s must-see sights:
* The BIASA Artspace – This art gallery, found in Seminyak, is considered one of Bali’s best. It features exhibitions from both local and foreign artists who base themselves in Indonesia. The gallery itself houses a wide variety of works, including paintings, sculptures, prints, videos, embroidery, photography and more. Since its 2005 inception, BIASA has played host to a number of well-known artists such as Farhan Siki, Angki Purbandono and Kokok Sancoko. The gallery is constantly changing exhibits, so visitors can never be quite sure what they will see when they arrive.
* Seminyak Beach – This pristine stretch of water-kissed land is a favourite for holidaymakers that want to soak up the sun. Seminyak Beach offers visitors a perfect place to wade in Bali’s waters and also enjoy some serious water sports, including surfing. Intermediate surfers, in fact, will find the waves here to their liking. In addition, horseback riding and others sports are readily available.
* Shopping and dining – The Seminyak area is home to many restaurants and shops. Holidaymakers will find the cuisine here can fit just about any taste. The shops in Seminyak range from trendy fashion stores to artsy boutiques that show off wares made by the area’s many artisans.
* Pura Petitenget Temple – This Hindu temple is not Bali’s largest, but it is well worth the stop. Thought to have been constructed in the 11th century by Empu Kuturan, the temple is said to be one of the “nine eyes†built to guard Bali from a host of threats from the outside world. Today, the temple remains an active destination. It is said to be especially busy on holy days and other special occasions when ceremonies are held.
* Waterbom – If a day at a water park sounds like fun, a trip to nearby Kuta might be in order. This area is home to Waterbom, a massive park that covers some 3.8 hectares with adventure rides, slides, spas, pools and more.
* Nightlife – The nightlife in the Seminyak and Kuta areas is considered legendary. The area is home to dozens of different clubs and lounges that open late and stay open even later. Clubs range from discos and salsa bars to jazz and beyond.
* Petitenget Beach – Named after the temple, this beach isn’t quite as popular as Seminyak Beach, but it is a welcomed stop for those who want a quieter pace. The sunsets here are worth taking in.
Seminyak hotels open up the wonders of southwestern Bali. This destination is one that will keep holidaymakers hopping with the many sights and experiences that await.

Tim Duncan (power forward eligible)
Pau Gasol (power forward eligible)
Joel Przybilla
It would have to be Crawford and another solid player for Lewis. Since the draft values will not be anywhere near eachother. It would be like trading Lewis a 2nd rounder, for Crawford a 12th round pick. If you could get Crawford with another 4-5 round pick, then it might be somewhere close to =.
