I think it needs to be heated, should I put it over a hot plate or heat gun or oven? And I think I need to put it in a dessicator to cool with nitrogen stream, but I don't have that, will a high vacuum line work? My compound is dry now, do I need to redissolve it in a solvent first?

4A Sieves as received from the manufacturer are readfy to go. Your heat dry procedure would work for most uses. I don't understand what you are asking in your last comment. If the solid is truely dry, it is dry.
