can you eat your easter eggs after you dye and decorate them?paas kit says don't consume after decorating?

I grew up using the paa's easter egg dye tablets to color hard boiled eggs,we always ate the eggs eventually.But i noticed on the back of a package of my paas easter egg decorating party kit,that it says do not consume eggs after decorating?Why?I find that really strange sense I use to eat them as a kid?

Soaking eggs in a vinegar mixture to set the dye can make the shell softer but I cannot think of a single reason why you shouldn't be able to eat those eggs, providing you didn't leave them outdoors for 12 hours during an Easter egg hunt.
