OK archery guys(and gals) String loop......?
OK, I have been bowhunting most of my life, and this year I started using a loop on my new bow. I was shooting a tournament this weekend and had a couple of guys that were saying a loop was the wrong way to go, but a couple of guys in the pro class were using them. comments? theories?
Simple physics tells me that placing the release directly behind the nock should be more accurate.
the loop is not mandatory but highly suggested to prevent excessive wear and tear on the strings. It does provide a more accurate release of the arrow when straddeling the nock. Some people prefer not to add the loop and use the release right above or below the nock (some have nock points put in to ensure they hook in the same spot each time).
Either way works but I have personally found that the loop makes the release of the arrow more consistant.
