IMAGINATION: THE POWER HOUSE OF A CREATIVE WRITER

Both are essential, vital, germane for good creative write-ups and emanate from a powerful imaginative bank. Day dreaming is perhaps one of the trace elements in the imaginative bank. The Imaginative bank of a writer is filled with rich deposits, primarily from the literary world. As a creative writer, the golden rule is "let your imagination positively run wild" with the aid of the aforementioned elements. Below is a simple example of how I've used my imagination to describe an unfolding event that paved the way for introducing a Nigerian movie legend :

The Movie Colosseum was unusually filled beyond its accredited seating capacity by movie lovers, critics and neutral viewers. Provocative arguments and sudden exchange of blows burst forth intermittently from different angles over the inconvenient seating positions offenders had strategically adopted. This caused the Colosseum to frown angrily. She took pride in her beauty and magnificence and sheepishly received the flattery remarks ‘men' constantly showered  unreservingly at her. She truly was a beauty to behold, dominating effortlessly on the African continent. She'd played host to the constant battles  between Movie gladiators  and their old time enemies (towering fellows born and raised in the art of anti- movie advancement). The latter had often times emerged triumphant over the former.

The late comers had been denied access to witness the day's battle. A rumour of a special power packed combat which promised to be explosive had been slated to go down in the Colosseum. A collective, swift mental calculation proffering an alternative solution in solving the dilemma was certainly far fetched and an impossible venture. The risk of climbing the outward structure of the Colosseum to get inside was to say the least a suicide mission, which caused them to abort the thought immediately. It would be frustrating to stand outside the gates listening to the deafening cheers, boos and ululating without seeing things firsthand. Having resolved  never to be latecomers anymore, they gradually dispersed to their respective ill-timed destinations. They would have to make do with the cheers, and juicy reports they would be fed later on with by those inside.

There was certainly a disproportionate mixed crowd inside the Colosseum,  comprising mostly of men, male youths and a minute proportion of females, ably representing the diverse ethnic groups, political and social classes in the country. The crowd within the belly of the Colosseum were treated for sometime to series of battles much to their delight, increasing the appetite to be visually fed by the main event. The moment they'd been waiting for finally came and thus began the fiercest combat between the Nigerian Movie gladiators and the callous, heartless opponents of Nollywood comprising of (underfunding, churned productions, prosaic hold, piracy, monotony, tribalism, and bias).

After ten minutes of  clashing, the allies of the Gladiators enemies (high predictability, technology deficiency, formulaic hold, re-cycled themes, trippy plots, and creative deficiency)were illegally released from the dungeons and rushed on to the arena to fortify and ensure that the gladiators lost. The battle raged on with the desire to survive and crush the other, until the gladiators began to fall under their swords at an alarming rate. The few, brave, undaunted ones, fought on, determined to shed their last drop of blood to ensure that posterity would not have to suffer the same fate. They felt weaker by the second, their physical strength betraying their good intentions and yearnings. The crowd was divided, some cheered the gladiators on while others encouraged their opponents to utterly wipe them out and repeat the  movie history of failure and dearth of it once more.

The gate on the west side suddenly flung open and in stepped a hooded man, with a quiver of arrows of experience strapped behind his back, and a cross bow. A sudden hush fell over the crowd as he walked slowly as though calculating his steps and halted some distance away from the enemies. Even the combatants for a few seconds  made him the subject of attention. He was dressed differently from the gladiators and they weren't certain whether he was a friend or foe. They reached a verdict that he wasn't on their side after communicating speedily in an incoherent language. One of them began to rush towards him in an attacking mode. He retrieved an arrow from his movie quiver, and nocked it in the center of  the bow string . He lifted his head and faced the target, raised the bow arm and then the string back, and aimed. His toughened hands reflected years of experience as a film archer, his eagle eyes riveted on the enemy, then without warning , he released the arrow. It struck through the enemy's heart, causing him to land with a great thud.

Quickly recovering from the shock, some of the furious ones charged  furiously at him, roaring like lions. Like the dexterity of Robin Hood, the stranger released the arrows, never for once did he miss the targets. The remaining gladiators spurred on by such act of bravery and accurate strikes were fired up, and charged at the remaining enemies, striking them down to the earth. Those that supported the gladiators went into a frenzy, shouting and jubilating at the victory. It was a sweet victory no doubt, but that wasn't the last they would hear about their opponents, as some of their offsprings watched angrily from the crowd and vowed to have their pound of flesh on the movie gladiators one way or the other. But who was the hooded man they began to ask?

The surviving Nigerian movie gladiators approached the hooded man to convey their appreciation for such timely movie saving  intervention. Having been urged from the survivors and the cheering crowd to reveal his identity, he slowly pulled back his hood. It was the renowned legend of film making in Nigeria, Tunde kelani who'd come to the rescue. A thunderous applause, coupled with shouts of admiration and gratitude from the crowd rocked the entire Colloseum and could be heard a mile away.

Writing creatively can really be fun at the end of the day when you get the hang of it. It may he hard initially but with constant practice, lots of personal development, you're sure of becoming a good creative writer, and of course a remarkable, outstanding author.

On a compound bow do you have to have center serving to use a metal d loop?

i just got my bow a week ago and the center serving broke due to my release wrist strap coming undone. So i am wondering if i will have to reserve the bow or if a metal d loop( such as an ultra nock) does not require center serving? the center serving is only broke through where my nocking point was the rest is just loose.. Any other suggestions on what to do with this situation would be appreciated. Thank you

The serving is a protective measure on the string to keep it from breaking in it's most vulnerable spot.Either buy a new string or take it to the local bow shop and have it re-served-should cost under 10 bucks
