Environment-friendly Printing: Top 4 Ways on Going Green with Your Printer
The world is now in danger. There is global warming, which transforms the rest of the world like a boiling kettle. We also have pollution, damaging our air, water, and land. More people are getting sick, and mortality is getting shorter.

1. Go for recycled paper. This is a very simple green printing solution, and yet not a lot of people are practicing it. It just entails you to use those used papers for printing. The wasted paper, or the one that is being thrown away, will be reprocessed until it becomes new paper again. With this method, you will not only lessen pollution, but you can also save plenty of trees.
2. Use vegetable-based inks. Rather than continuously using ink jet cartridges, go for vegetable-based or soy inks. The problem with the former is that they emit volatile organic compounds, which are not only dangerous to the environment but also to your health. Soy ink and vegetable-based ink are more environment-friendly and are available in wide variety of colors.
You must understand, though, that they cannot be useful in personal printers and ballpoint pens. It will also take much longer time for them to dry up. If you want something more efficient, you can settle for UV-reactive inks. They can be more expensive—you may have to change your equipment—but they can save you thousands of dollars later. You can also promote eco-friendly printing.
3. Utilize Paperocks. What are Paperocks? These are actually unique types of paper. For one, they are completely pulp-free, which means that no tree has been cut down for their production. They also do not use VOCs, and they do not produce any waste. The manufacturers make use of a very special process. A special mineral called limestone is being utilized to produce the papers. When the limestone is in its powder form, it will then be mixed with non-toxic resins. You can then use the paper for several products, such as brochures, flyers, calendars, wrappers, magazines, and packages.
4. Settle for waterless printing. Not a lot of people are aware that you need water if you want to print. You need to combine it with printer ink to come up with clearer colors. Moreover, you have to use several chemicals like isopropyl alcohol. As the name implies, waterless printing allows you to save water, as well as prevent you from getting exposed to possible harmful chemicals.
Green printing should be employed not only because it helps you cut on costs, but you are also able to protect the environment from further degradation. If you are in business, you will realize that this is also going to be advantageous, as more consumers honor environmental-conscious companies.
