took clomid for 5 days but my periods came at the end of the month. how long must clomid be taken b4 concepti?
I had gone to the Dr coz I have been trying to concieve for the past 7years but at the end of the month I just feel pain and my periods start. He prescribed clomid for me but after taking it for one month it did not work for me any suggestions other than what the Dr told me to double the doss. I really wan ta baby my daughter is 10years old an dwants a sister or brother pse help me.
I would be a bit careful there....
Chances to get pg with clomid are 1:3 each month - so not very high - provided you ovulated: no egg== no baby.
All in all, only 3/4 of the women start ovulating on clomid and half of them manage to get preggo.
Did you use ovulation predictors to find out whether you ovulated? did the Dr do any ultrasounds to check your follies?
You should only double the dose if you did not ovulated, because it might be that more meds will work. And as I said, even if you ovulated and had sex the right days, there is no guarantee you'll get pregnant.
You should try clomid only up to 6 months and never take more than 3 tablets a day.
