More Info On Recurve Longbow:

How Much Bowhunting Equipment is Really Required?
Many people who are just starting out with archery, get so excited about the prospect that they end up buying too much bowhunting equipment. There are other options too that can save you money. Here we explore these options.
Renting or borrowing it:
If you are merely a student of archery classes, then you certainly do not need to go ahead and buy all the bowhunting equipment available in the market. Just the bare essentials will do. You can get most of these basic kinds of bowhunting equipment from a local club that teaches archery or from the department of physical education in your college. Most of the time, you can either rent this equipment for a nominal amount or even borrow it free of cost. Even if you have to find out about an archery range in your vicinity, you will in any case have to contact the local clubs or the physical education segment of your college.
What you need to get started
If you are just starting out with archery, then there are only a couple of things you will need in terms of bowhunting equipment. First and foremost is the bow. The market is flooded with diverse types and styles of different kinds of bows. The popular ones are called self bows. The other common bow types are longbow, which is very stylish, as well as recurve bow. If you are just learning about archery, then do not invest in a crossbow. Most of the time, crossbows are only used for bow hunting purposes and hence cannot teach a young archer all the tricks needed for the skill. Crossbows are widely used for hunting game because of the range and power these exhibit. However, you will need a unique bow as part of your bowhunting equipment depending on your niche hunting or shooting needs. If you intend on using the bow for target shooting then the longbow, recurve bow and self bows are the best options. Try these out to see how comfortable you feel while using these bows. This way, you will be able to pick the best bow as part of your bowhunting equipment.
Choosing arrows:
You will definitely need to buy arrows as part of your bowhunting equipment. There are many diverse types of arrows available these days, which serve various functions. Ideally, you need to select the arrow based on weight as well as speed of the arrow. If you plan on using the arrow bowhunting equipment for shooting across ranges, then you should select versatile arrows.
Optional accessories:
The bow and arrow is the most vital component of your bowhunting equipment. However, if you have the inclination and the money, then you can opt for optional accessories like arm rests or gloves etc. The arm rest will enhance stability of shots while gloves will provide comfort while shooting.
Targets:
Targets are also an important aspect of bowhunting equipment. These help to enhance accuracy and skill in this sport of archery. You need something to take aim at otherwise you will be shooting arrows into nowhere. A target can also help provide a benchmark about how well your shots are progressing at every stage. You can either buy a target or make one yourself if you

Any good archers in here....simple question, please dont complicate it....?
In theory, with a correct draw and release of the bow and arrow (recurve or longbow) is the string SUPPOSED to hit your forearm? i dont think it is but cant find a definitive answer anywhere; if its not i dont wanna buy a forearm guard,i wanna learn correctly and suffer the pain of incorrect form, if it is supposed to im definitely gonna get one!
No it should not hit your arm, but it does happen. A guard is simply for protection to prevent your clothing and arm from hitting the string.
Even professional archers use them because you just never know when you might hit your arm, good form or not.
