This package of flexible plastic cutting boards from MIU France protects your countertop, simplifies food safety, and stores in any narrow slot of extra kitchen space. Though the boards are flat, they have ample surface area and can be used on either side. MIU France recommends designating the colors according to food category to prevent cross-contamination--yellow for poultry, green for produce, and red for raw meat. Once food is chopped or diced, you can pick up the board, curl it to contain the pieces, and transfer them cleanly to bowls or pots. Safe in the dishwasher, each board measures 11 by 15 inches. --Emily Bedard
These handy, flexible cutting boards are color coded for different food groups to minimize cross-contamination and to protect countertops. Blue for fish, red for meats, yellow for poultry, green for vegetables and white for general purposes. The flexible boards curl easily to transfer chopped food directly into the bowl, pot or pan..

Stankonia

Imagine if the ghetto got electrified. That's Stankonia, an album of street smarts doused with gasoline and ready to burn. When a thundering electric guitar collides with a relentless drumbeat on the molten "Gasoline Dreams," it dominates mind and body, setting the tone for the album. Dre and Big Boi spin a world of freaks, poets, preachers, and pimps, but most importantly, possibilities. This music messes with your head. --Lizz Mendez Berry
Big Boi and Andre 3000 make a monumental mothership connection on their utterly stupefying fourth album. At a time when the hip-hop "album" seems to be sadly declining in significance, Atlanta's finest deliver a classic package of space-case imagery, curbside poetry, and delicious experimental funk. While the boys still celebrate their big pimpin' lifestyles, "Gasoline Dreams" and the breathtaking "Humble Mumble" overflow with striking images of dashed American dreams and urban frustration. Stankonia's most beautiful moments come in the name of love, whether it's a celebration of the current ("Stanklove") or a lamentation of the past ("Ms. Jackson"). The love movement is manifested on the album's revolutionary production, combining the oozing, organic licks of P-Funk, the fearless, sexual audacity of Prince, some down-home Southern crunk, and even a little drum & bass ("B.O.B."). While Stankonia certainly isn't an "easy" album, its ambition and vision easily rank it among hip-hop's greatest in some time. --Hua Hsu

Man of Aran [VHS]

|

While it stretches the definition of documentary, Robert Flaherty's Man of Aran remains a triumph of poetic imagery, and one of the greatest nonfiction films ever made. Critic Pauline Kael hailed it as "the greatest film tribute to man's struggle against hostile nature," referring to conditions faced by bold residents of the Aran Islands, 30 miles offshore from Galway, Ireland, amidst the harshest seas of the Atlantic. Flaherty and his tiny crew spent over two years on the islands, chronicling the rugged lives of the Araners on a landscape so rocky that seaweed is used as improvised soil. Flaherty cast the film with assorted locals and recreated anachronistic events (such as the harpooning of a basking shark) from Aran's past, inviting controversy over the film's authenticity. That debate continues on this DVD's exceptional bonus features (for retrospective insight, "How the Myth Was Made" is every bit as good as Flaherty's film), but Man of Aran is, and always will be, a timeless record of extraordinary people, miraculously surviving in a most extraordinary place. --Jeff Shannon

Journey to the Center of the Earth

When a seismic geologist (Brendan Fraser) discovers his lost brother's notes in a copy of the titular Jules Verne novel, he and his nephew (Josh Hutcherson, Bridge to Terabithia, Zathura) head to Iceland. There, joined by a fetching mountain guide (played by Icelandic actress Anita Briem), they get trapped in a cavern and go down, down, down, finally arriving in a primeval underworld full of prehistoric beasts and carnivorous plants. It would be pointless to complain about the empty-headedness of it all; Journey to the Center of the Earth aspires to be a kinesthetic experience. It wants to engage your adrenal glands, not your brain or your heart (the dialogue and characters are so generic, the script may have been cut-and-pasted from previous versions of Verne's book). Fraser, with his goofy handsomeness and accessible presence, provides a reasonably human axis around which all the frantic flying and swooping CGI effects revolve. The movie is as hollow as the world it depicts, but as mindless action movies go, you could do a lot worse. (Note: Journey to the Center of the Earth was released in theaters in 3-D, full of whizz-bang demonstrations of how far 3-D technology had come--trilobite antennae quivering towards the audience, a T-rex lunging out of the frame, even affable star Brendan Fraser spitting on us--as well as a half-dozen action sequences clearly destined to become video games or theme park rides.) --Bret Fetzer

Writer/director/editor/special-effects-supervisor Robert Rodriguez (Spy Kids, Desperado) continues to storm the movie world with The Adventures of SharkBoy and LavaGirl in 3-D. A young boy named Max (Cayden Boyd) finds the real world crashing into his dreams: His parents fight, bullies harrass him at school, and his teacher advises him to get a grip on reality. But Max's faith in his fantasies is so strong that his superheroic creations SharkBoy (Taylor Lautner) and LavaGirl (Taylor Dooley) crash into Max's classroom and take him off to rescue the fantastic planet he dreamed up. Towards the end, SharkBoy and LavaGirl crumbles with clumsy story gaps and bland moral advice, but most of the movie explodes with visual invention. A clockwork villain with electrical limbs commands an army of extension-cord snakes; SharkBoy uses his claws to engrave a diagram of the solar system into a chalkboard; LavaGirl's burning feet melt an ice bridge as she runs across it. It's disappointing that Rodriguez's storytelling flounders, but sections of deliciously fluid movie-making make The Adventures of SharkBoy and LavaGirl in 3-D worth seeing nonetheless. Also featuring David Arquette (Eight Legged Freaks), Kristin Davis (Sex in the City), and George Lopez (Real Women Have Curves). --Bret Fetzer
10 year old max is an outcast little boy who has become lost in his own fantasy world in an attempt to escape the worries of dealing with his parents school bullies & no-fun summer vacations. But when max realizes the characters & adventures in his imagination might be real his whole world changes. The Bourne Supremacy (Widescreen Edition)
Sale Price: $3.55

Good enough to suggest long-term franchise potential, The Bourne Supremacy is a thriller fans will appreciate for its well-crafted suspense, and for its triumph of competence over logic (or lack thereof). Picking up where The Bourne Identity left off, the action begins when CIA assassin and partial amnesiac Jason Bourne (a role reprised with efficient intensity by Matt Damon) is framed for a murder in Berlin, setting off a chain reaction of pursuits involving CIA handlers (led by Joan Allen and the duplicitous Brian Cox, with Julia Stiles returning from the previous film) and a shadowy Russian oil magnate. The fast-paced action hurtles from India to Berlin, Moscow, and Italy, and as he did with the critically acclaimed Bloody Sunday, director Paul Greengrass puts you right in the thick of it with split-second editing (too much of it, actually) and a knack for well-sustained tension. It doesn't all make sense, and bears little resemblance to Robert Ludlum's novel, but with Damon proving to be an appealingly unconventional action hero, there's plenty to look forward to. --Jeff Shannon

Tribal Tiger Tattoos - How Do You Choose Your Tribal Tiger Tattoo Design?
The tiger is revered as a special animal among Asian countries. It symbolizes several virtues. Its ferociousness symbolizes power and strength, especially in China. In fact, because of its powerful energy it is usually seen with the Chinese God of Wealth.
The way the tiger protects its cubs is being associated to purity and courage. And its regal walk is being attributed to passion and sensuality. These characteristics made the tiger one of the most popular tattoos, especially tribal tiger tattoos.
Tribal tattoo, on the other hand, is a pattern that uses a lot of angles and details. It is usually done in either black or red ink. Its increasing popularity no longer requires a person a specific tribal affinity. You can even stylize your own tribal design. It is more visually appealing due to the intricacy of its interlocking pattern.
The trend, nowadays, is to combine the tiger image with a tribal pattern. The natural stripes of the tiger and its movement work well with the geometric shapes and swirls. The monochromatic tribal design gives emphasis to the tiger's solid color. However, do not compromise the color of your tiger tattoo with your artistic expression. A special attention should be given in researching the color you want to use for your tribal tiger tattoo. The colors of the tiger's coat also have different symbolisms.
Men are usually the ones who choose tribal tiger tattoos. A tattoo of this kind is quite large because of the nature of its image. It takes several hours for a typical-sized tiger to be tattooed on a person, if only for this reason women think twice before deciding to have it done on them.
The size of the image usually confines the design to just several parts of the body. It is mostly done on the back since it is the most even palette in your body. Men also usually have it done on the chest, sometimes extending on the shoulder and arm. A good strategy is needed if chosen to be placed on other parts of the body. Remember that the animal should look as alive as possible.
Choosing an artist to do tribal tiger tattoos is the most important aspect of this endeavour. Considering that the tattoo is an image of a living animal, the artist should be able to make the art come alive. The ferocity and agility of the tiger should be apparent. Should the artist fail to capture the tiger's utmost characteristic, it will be very difficult to correct or cover up this mistake.
You have to be really committed to going through the pain and process of getting a tribal tiger tattoo. You have to realize that this tattoo is more than just a fad. The traditional symbolism of the tiger and the significance of the tribal pattern should be well understood before it's inked on your body.
Having this should suit your personality. After all, a huge image of the tiger on your skin is a testament of courage, strength and beauty.

Tiger Woods still holds golf hostage
The latest gossip has Tiger Woods resuming his therapy some 3,200 kilometres away from where he made his public apology last Friday, which - if true - would be a comical coincidence in one respect.
