How to Make a Hair Bow in Few Simple Steps
Wearing a hair bow is a simple means of creating beauty to one's own style of dressing their hair to make it look more pleasing to look at. There are varieties of ways on how to make a hair bow. The variation usually lies on the materials to be used that also depend on the choice of style of the hair bow one prefers to make.
How to make a hair bow is a common hobby among creative and artistic individuals. Basically one is free to create their own design to represent their own stylish way of making a hair bow. There are simple steps on how to make a hair bow. One needs to organize first the materials they will need.
Scissors, measuring tape or a ruler, ribbon, floral wire, metal clip, glue gun and fray check are the most basic materials to be needed on how to make a hair bow. For beginners, making a medium sized pinwheel bow is an excellent choice to begin with.
When deciding on the type of ribbon to use it is important to choose one that has a soft fabric that is easy to bend. One should then choose the type of clip to use. When making a small to medium hair bow for fine hair, alligator clips are good choice. French clips on the other hand work well for fuller hairs or for ponytails and when making larger bows.
Cut the ribbon ¾ - 1 1/2 inches in width and 24 inches in length. To assemble, the ribbon must be folded over 5 times of about 4 ½ in. in length. To even the length, adjust the ribbon. Then pinch the center of the loops and use a craft wire or wrap floral to tighten the center of the bow.
Using the floral wire for this purpose can be a good choice as it does not melt when glued. Don't forget to trim the excess wire to ensure it will not poke out. Also trimming the ends of the bow will make both sides even. You can choose to kite tail or angle the edges for better touches.
You can trace a line and cut to create an angle on the bow's edges. To create kite tail, you need to first fold the center of the edges and clip a shape of a triangle on the edge. It is best to first practice in a piece of paper before making the final cut on the bow.
To prevent from fraying, apply thin coat of nail polish or fray check on the bow's edges. Slide the clip along the bow's wire and use the glue to secure its place. Some uses additional wires to further secure the bow to the clip.
A smaller piece of ribbon is then knotted on the center on top of the exposed wire and wrapped around then glued to stay in place. For the final touches, adjust the hair bow to its fullness.
Learning how to make a hair bow can be fun, interesting and fulfilling especially when you wear a hair bow that is your own masterpiece.

what watts do I need for soft and hard coral without using halides?
I have 46 gallon bow-front tank.20 inch deep. I really would like to do hard and soft coral but don't want to use halides. So can I have hard coral without use halides. Also what wattage do I need if use florescences or LEDs for my size tank? The hood I know has to be modified it only hold 1 24" florescent light. I know for one white bulb I need one blue but I will only be able to hold 3 24" florescences. If I can't just have 3 bulbs then maybe LEDs but how do u know the watts equivalent that I need? Thanks for any help. I want to do this right.
It is not a question of watts although that will directly affect your intensity. It is always a question of required colour spectrum for the inhabitants you keep.
LED's do not have sufficient spectrum or intensity to support the corals you wish to keep.
24 inch florescent tubes will supply the spectrum - use one or two of type with an actinic spike on the curve for your blue requirement. I would use 6 or 8 regular compact florescent on a vanity socket for your white light penetration and modify the canopy to allow for the additional headroom required. The ballasts on the compacts will supply enough heat to wrap a water line around each base for supplimental water heating. This will extend the life of the ballasts. Alternately you could use low voltage halogen spot lights instead of the compacts.
You may have to engineer a solution that is beyond the design of your current system. This means replacing the canopy or having it modified to accomodate your requirements. I have used halogen lights on the front face of the tank at night when I'm not viewing the tank. This required a retraction rig to lift it above the canopy into a shroud housing for esthietics during viewing hours in the daytime.
Anchoring your hard corals on a pedestal would bring them nearer to the surface reducing the intensity required to illuminate them. The soft corals or live sand would accept less light at the front the bottom of the tank and still be healthy.
I always recommend consultation with your local marine specialist. We need to encourage them to continue be there for information and supply. Even if you choose to buy some of your components as pre-owned items because of budget restrictions, your consumables are the bread and butter of you local operator.
Tiger Woods' downfall has made many appreciate Phil Mickelson's soft side
Once upon a time, Woods was portrayed as a highly disciplined athlete immune to bad decisions. Mickelson was equally talented but prone to whimsical play, a gambler easily seduced by reckless decisions.
