What do each of the following have to do with power and how much do they affect it?
racquet weight
head light/heavy balance
string tension
dampeners
string type
Oh yea why the f would anyone want an oversize racquet? Seriously those tennis racquet companies need to STOP producing oversize for racquets like radical, speedport, etc. cuz it only shows the racquet sucks and a physically weak player can use it too. If you can't hit the darn ball deep then tennis isn't for you.
racket weight - not effecting power as much as the swing weight
balance - effect the swing weight. head heavy increase power, but overly head heavy you will end up with a very tired arm
string tension - lower the tension, the more power, extreme low tension you will end up hitting a lot of home runs.
dampeners - to offset vibration, nothing to do with power
string type - the skinner the string, the more power you get. string materials does make some differences but it is complicated.
why oversize racket? coz not everyone has the same hand-eye coordination ability. and yes, in general, larger head racket does not benefit the good players, it does, however, benefit those weekend warriors. if you think oversize tennis racket is bad, check out golf clubs. the drivers head size has grown so huge it is ridiculous.
