I am not particulary strong, so worrying about carrying all the equipment and food. Also, any tips for food!?

First rule of hiking is: DON'T OVERPACK
Second rule of hiking is: DON'T OVERPACK
Third rule of hiking is: Always have a well stocked brew kit
etc.
You'll only need one change of clothes (would you prefer a slight smell or an extra 15lb)?
Waterproofs (Wales afterall)
Breakfast.
Get some small airtight bags (most supermarkets and hemp shops will sell them) Ready Brek, Powedered Milk and if you want, Sugar. All you need to do is add hotwater and you've got a hot, tasty breakfast.
Lunch
Dried Fruit, Nuts, Powdered Soup, Noodles, Cereal Bars
Dinner
Pasta, Tomato Purée in a tube, Butter in a tube (or steal some packet butter from a local cafe, Tinned Tuna/Salmon (small tins), Tinned Meat (Spam) Lentills, Mixed Herbs, Salt, Rice, Pepperarmi/Salami sticks (sealed packaging), Biltong or Jerky if you can find any.
Think of Dinner this way ... base (pasta/rice/lentils), Health (Fish), Taste (tomato pureé, herbs, salt)
Go check out your local camping supplies shop, they will sell dehydrated meals. Don't buy them (sooo expensive!) , but they will give you an idea for what you can make.
If you have meals that only require boiling water, you're safe as houses.
See rule three, you need Coffee/Tea. It's a moral booster and it serves a practical purpose.
Also take a packet of Gummy sweets, a fair sized one. It's for emergencies only and gives you a much needed sugar boost when you feel drained.
I wouldn't worry about taking too much extra in the event of getting lost or whatnot. Wales isn't Siberia - there are towns, farms, people all over the place. When you consider that you can summit the highest mountain in an leisurely afternoon - it's hardly Ray Mears country.
The leaders should give you an emergency contact number so make sure you pack a fully charged mobile phone, wrap it in a plastic bag and find a safe spot for it in your backpack. Oh, and keep it turned off until you need it. Pack some loose change and a £10 note with it. If you do get lost then you can use a public payphone if your mobile phone doesn't work.
