What sins, if any, remain for mainline Protestants?

Now that the mainline Protestants have redefined homosexuality as love, even ordaining practicing homosexuals, and consider aborting a son or daughter as a woman's legitimate choice, what sins are left? Does any behavior effectively estrange a person from God in the thinking of mainline Protestants?

Again we come to the changing of the christian religion due to polictical and society changes. Politics dictact that a religion cannot look down upon a minority no matter how rediculous their claims are (like homosexuality being natural). Congregations who are not that devoted to their religion will stop attending church meetings because they are upset with what their priests teach them. If their congregations leave the priests stop being paid, so to keep their money and their followers they have to change their preaching so noone will be offended.

Eventually they change it so much to retain their followers that there are very little if any sins remaining. Hence the following have been taught in mainstream christianity for the last decade, "If you believe in christ you are saved." "God loves you and will bring you up to heaven no matter what you have done." There are many other examples of what I have heard from those christians but I'm sure you've heard them too. Pretty much as long as you "believe in christ" you are saved no matter what you have done in your past or are doing presently in your life. Which of course is completely rediculous. If that was all that was required why didn't christ just tell everyone that if they believed in him they were saved. But he didn't, he told many believers to repent in the bible and constantly taught about keeping the commandments and doing good.

Now all that is required to be a christian in most churches is to be baptismed (and some denomination don't even believe in that even though Jesus Christ did it) and to believe in Jesus Christ for your sins to be forgiven and you will be saved. That is not what he taught nor is that what common sense tells us. Thats just what the devil wants us to believe. If we believe in christ but follow the devil in transgression how can people be christian? It's completely contradictory but it makes people feel better about their lives if they convince themselves they are rightous.
